Welcome to Crystal Sands! This three-story gulf front condominium is situated on a wide-open beach with balconies facing the crystalline waters of our coast, and located in the heart of Scenic Highway 98 territory at the eastern side of Destin. The complex itself has wonderful onsite amenities as well. With a heated community pool, you can enjoy the best of both worlds for a quick dip in fresh water, or a day out on the beach. A sun deck is also here on the gulf side, with picnic tables and grills to cook the local catch of the day.

Crystal Sands 209A is a one bedroom vacation rental ideal for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, since it accommodates up to six guests with a bedroom, a bunk bed in the hallway and a full sized sleeper sofa in the living room.

The open living area has sliding glass doors to brighten the space and take in the breathtaking view of the water. Out on the balcony, you can sit and watch the sun rise with a cup of coffee or relax in the evening and enjoy a romantic starlit sky. In the living area, a plush sofa, along with a cozy lounge chair, flags the large white drink table that faces the TV for watching your favorite shows. An oval dining table has 4 seats, along with four bar height chairs bordering the granite topped kitchen area. The master suite houses a comfy king-sized bed along with its own en suite bathroom. A half bath in the hallway serves as a convenient powder room.

This highly sought-after building is right in the heart of the action between Destin and Miramar Beach. Localized restaurants are a short walk away. You can also take in a movie at the sprawling Destin Commons close by, along with boutique shopping, restaurants and bars. About 20 minutes away to the west is Harborwalk Village in Destin, with pontoon boat and jet ski rentals, excursions, charter fishing, restaurants and shopping. Head East to Miramar Beach with its own localized restaurants and beachside destination, including the famous Pompano Joes restaurant, or take in localized festivals and events at the Village of Baytowne Wharf in upscale San Destin.

Personal umbrellas, tents, tarps, canopies, or cabanas are not permitted on the beach, with the exception of baby tents which may not exceed 48” in height. Umbrellas and chairs are available for rent through the onsite beach service. Private chairs are allowed to be set up behind the rental row of umbrellas.

Crystal Sands is a smoke free environment. This includes: smoking of any kind on the grounds, walkways, balconies, patios, parking lots, sidewalks, boardwalks, or the beach.

COMPLIMENTARY BEACH SERVICE
Beach Service is provided seasonally from March 1st - October 31st, weather permitting, and is only offered during regular business hours until 5pm.

You will find everything you need in the property to make the most of your time on the Emerald Coast. We offer a starter kit of premium, eco-friendly guest amenities including: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body and Face Soap, Toilet Paper, Facial Tissues, Dish Soap, Dishwasher Pods, Laundry Detergent, Paper Towels, Trash Bags, Dish Sponge, Bath Towels, and Bed linens.

  The location was great and the beach service was very nice to have. I must say the condo is a bit dated and needs updating. The stove top burners were not good at all, but we made them work. Pots, pans, utensils, need updated as well. They also need to get a new mattress for the bed. We have been staying in Destin for 25+ years and I understand all the use the rentals get, but updates are needed to keep up with the wear and tear.

  Great details and communication from Modern Beach Rentals and really liked the guidebook they emailed with all the info. Unit desperately needs the inner shower curtain liner replaced otherwise all was as as described. Condo location was great being right on the beach.   We've stay in this complex before, but are happy we moved upstairs to 209A and have already booked again for next winter. It is located in a great location on the beach, with great walking opportunities and close to many excellent places to eat. The upstairs deck is perfect for breakfast and some morning sun.   no mats to wipe sand off shoes, no Internet(used upstairs network), very musty, sliding door barely closes with all your might, washer/dryer really don't work anymore. All dishware seems to be random pieces from a yard sale. stains on couch(put sheets over it). overall, just a rental unit and in need of updating and many repairs.

  We had a wonderful week of beautiful weather. We enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs every day. The condo is very nice with plenty of towels and dishes. It also has extras in the kitchen that we often pack to bring like a crock pot and a blender. Has had new wood laminate flooring installed since we stayed here last which is very nice. We love this complex and this unit and can’t wait to come back.

The location of the unit is directly across from the elevator and the majority of guests are families or couples.   Crystal Sands is in a great location. It is close to great restaurants and shopping. My unit was ready to go at the time given. The unit was clean and tidy when I arrived.
  
  The master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable to me. I only slept there two nights and then moved to one of the bunks in the hall.
  
  The jets in the bath tub were very dirty. It did not affect me because I wasn't taking a bath. But, someone with small children would have needed the bathtub, I would not have bathed my child in there.
  
  I dropped something under the couch and had to get down on my hands and knees to retrieve it. I am pretty sure no one has cleaned under there in quite a while.

  The decor of the rooms perfectly fit the beach style. Liked how the main couch faced the sliding glass doors towards the beach, rather than the TV. Linens and towels were top quality. Unit felt fresh and new. Appreciated the elevator, Luggage racks & offstreet parking. Location was just a few miles from Harbor walk, the boardwalk & pier. If guests are coming to Florida by plane & don’t want to lug a bunch of extra things home, you might want to bring a weeks worth of coffee filters, or Keurig pods & tissues. Unit could also use a bottle of Windex and a dust pan. Otherwise TP, paper towels, and kitchen and bath soaps are provided; including a bit of laundry & dishwasher soaps.
